But "when a door closes, a window opens," and so she was able to enroll at Le Wagon.
Summary

1) Can you please introduce yourself and give an insight into your background?

I’m originally from Mexico, but before I moved to Germany earlier this year, I lived in Austin, Texas for several years. I have worked in different industries and have always tried to find my way. For the last 3.5 years, I worked for a technology company where I had the opportunity to work on different data projects and products. After this experience, I finally realized that I wanted to continue working with data. I’m fascinated by all the answers we can get if we use it right!

2) What made you decide to attend a Le Wagon bootcamp?

The Le Wagon Bootcamp had been on my wish list for a long time. I had read so many good things about it and hoped to get the opportunity to attend one day. A few months ago I took a career break after a failed project, so I was finally able to sign up! As the saying goes, “when a door closes, a window opens”. I was familiar with some data products and data analytics, but I knew almost nothing about data science. However, I wanted to learn new things and challenge myself, so I decided this was the place for me.

3) Can you tell us about your experiences at Le Wagon? Were there any specific aspects of the program that stood out to you?

I haven’t regretted my decision to join Le Wagon for a minute. The lectures and challenges are perfectly designed and we have a lot of fun while learning. It can be frustrating sometimes when something doesn’t work out, but when you succeed, it makes it all the more worthwhile. The faculty and staff are great, and all the students are very motivated, so it’s a great learning environment. The pandemic has allowed for a hybrid model where I could go to campus but also work from home if I needed to.

4) What is your plan for after the bootcamp?

After the bootcamp, I want to continue my career as a product manager, but I want to work with data products.I think Le Wagon has given me the additional skills I need to be successful in this profession. I would recommend anyone thinking about attending a bootcamp to check out the programs at Le Wagon.
